Glenn and Julie Marriott
Uncle Bob, how fortunate were we to have known you, a role model in every way. Growing up you were certainly an inspiration; a family man, engineer, athlete, and coach. While we took an interest in you, you were always first to take an interest in us, especially in our sporting activities, always offering advice and encouragement. As a coach at the Saffron Lane athletics stadium, it was evident how respected you were, not just from within your team, but always there to offer advice to coaches and athletes who asked, always approachable, and always taking an interest. Bob, I imagine you had a positive influence on everyone you met, and for us you certainly did, so thank you for that, and thank you for being Uncle Bob, I learnt kindly lessons from you at an early age which have served me well.
We know the last few years were difficult for you, I imagine especially for a man who loved life and family the way you did, and credit to your family who loved and respected you so much.
Rest in peace Uncle Bob. Our thoughts remain with you, Auntie Marilyn, Julie, and Keith, and your extended family.
Love from Glenn, Julie, Oliver, and Toby xxxx
